17th Century

Market gardening

Market gardening became the dominant activity, supplying the upper town thanks to a complex network of canals called 'coulants'.

1970s

A community takes action

Threatened by urbanization projects, the marshes were saved by the historic mobilization of several associations.

Two men, one boat, one marsh

Boat after boat, patient hands keep the marshes alive.

Nature photography of numerous wooden boats moored along a serene canal. Two white swans glide gracefully on the water, surrounded by lush greenery and trees.
Know-how
